Hi
During the busy season it is good to run the filter for 24 hours. The longer the filter is running the better your water quality will be, but it should be run for at least 10 hours a day.
I trust that your water chemistry is all balanced ok.
Hope this helps.

We have a 10ft. above ground pool, my 2 grandsons have been using it for a week and have now got ear infections. Could this have anything to do with the filter? We used it on the evenings after they came out.
Hi,
I am assuming that you have a chemical starter pack for your pool, as ear infections can only be credited to lack of sanitiser i.e chlorine.
What are your current pool readings?
And on the subject of how many hours the filter needs to run, I confirm Maddies comments, that the longer the better, although the manufaturers always try and reduce the hours the pumps run, to increasae their longevity, one thing to remember, is that you should always turn off the electric supply to the pump/heater whilst you use the pool.
Hope this helps
