is there any form of solar heating for above ground pools available in the uk?

Hi,

There are solar heating products available for above ground pools, but in our wonderfully cold country, unsurprisingly they aren't very popular.

The kits can be very expensive, and given the very unreliable return of heat that you might recieve, it may turn out that they won't be worth the money.

Fortunatley,(for you guys!) traditional pool heaters are coming down in price very quickly, and with stiff competition in the energy market, you no longer have to mortgage your house to heat a swimming pool.

I would never recommend a solar heating system as the sole provider of heat for a pool. When used in conjunction with other heaters, the use of solar heating may even save you money in the long run.
