Hello Laura,

The other product you are refering to is known as Active Oxygen or O2. Oxygen in its purest form is one of the worlds best disinfectants. This is why people add fountains and certain strains of weed to their ponds, the oxygen produced by both keeps the water clearer.

This also applies to swimming pools, and instead of adding weed to your pool oxygen tablets can be purchased to do the job. When buying the tablets you should also buy some microcide whcih works in conjunction with the oxygen tablets, and also some O2 test strips to test the levels of Oxygen in the water.

Hi James,

Thanx for the link, found it HERE (http://www.ukpoolstore.co.uk/acatalog/Uk_Pool_Store___Economy_Chemical_Range.html)
Not much info regarding usage etc, does it work out much more expensive than using Chlorine? Would pool need to drained of Chlorine and refilled before I could use the Oxygen tabs?

Thanx Again,
Laura.
