Why don't you add a 'Sold Out' sign to items on your website that are sold out - so that they cannot be added to the shopping cart?
I recently placed an order to later find out (a good few days) that one of the items was out of stock - why was I allowed to put it into my shopping cart and purchase it then?
This would greatly improve the service in my opinion - I found everything else excellent and the items were good quality.
Hi,
Your comments are spot on, we have now actioned your suggestion, and these notices can be found on the relative products.
I would just like to say, that we received last month over 4 million hits on our site, and over 5000 actual orders. This has tested our procedures and systems to the limit, and we have tried to inform all clients of stock shortages, as they occur. There will always be a slight lag time in out of stock notices, which is why we have now started to place the "last few remaining" after the lower stock items.
We are also in the process of improving our Electronic point of sale hardware, to allow us to update the website hourly of our current stock levels, so that your efforts are not in vain.
We are always trying new ways to improve our service to you, and as we have instant control to our website, we are always eager to add products or "tweak" items to improve our site.
Your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated, a measure of our commitment to customer service, is our ability to listen, and rectify our faults :)
Hope this helps
All the best
