Hello - we are new above ground metal framed pool users, have a small heater for our 15ft pool & a debris cover - what are your experiences with these, is it worth buying a solar cover, and would you use both covers?
Thanks

hello.yes forsure.i have a 12foot pool, and the temp of the pool is reached so quickly esp when sun is out on it,without one you will hardly ever reach a temp you want, not may like cold pools, when reached the heater will go on stand by,and reduce eley bills abits, plus it keeps all the bits and flies out aswell.angela

hi
yes solar covers are definatly worth having.
solar covers are great on a hot day. this is due to the little air pockets under the cover storing the heat from the sun and transfering it into the water.
they work great with heaters because they dont let heat escape which adds to the speed of the heating process, also they are a good way of keeping debris ie leaves out of the pool water.
with the debris covers:- they are good if you have your pool situated under/near trees for the simple reason of keeping leaves and twigs out. even if you dont have trees there good to have on over night to keep debris and dirt out and also help keeping heat in over night.
hope this helps
