Hi, Could anybody tell me if there is a good book or guide to building your own pool? We are adding a large extension to our house and whilst heavy machinery is on site would like to get a pool excavated. We are looking for a guide which can tell us what is required by way of ground work so we can get this done at that point.
Also we would like anybodys recomendations with what way to go, tile/liner/ fibreglass an overground 'dug in' etc? We don't have a fortune to spend but need something with longevity.
The pool is for our two autistic boys and would be heavily used on a daily basis. They are by no means gentle and if there is a way to break something they will find it. The pool will be indoor.
Any help or guidance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
David.

Hi,

If you have a look on the main website you should find a Pool Build Guide in the download section and additional information in the store under In-Ground Pools.

The finish of the pool really depends upon budget and informed preferences. The most common finish is a liner, and as waterboy points out, extreme lining although fairly expensive, could be the one for you.

As always, we are more than happy to talk to anyone on a one to one basis regarding ideas and needs at info@ukpoolstore.co.uk

James :)
