I have now got a 5KW heater for my 12ft quick up pool ( 3KW leaked just after guarantee ran out). It has 1 metre of cable with connection box on the end. With further length of cable should this then be wired directly into the mains via a junction box on through an RCB device ?

Hi,

If your heater is 5kw you will need at least 20amps to run it.

In most cases this supply will be connected directly into your main supply.

In any case, it is always advisable to seek the advice of an experienced electrician and never attempt electrical work yourself.
