Hi all,

I have recently installed a 12' diameter 36" deep metal walled splasher pool. When i purchased the pool, both the salesman and another customer said i did not need a pool heater. It's now been running for two weeks. With the solar cover on all day, and winter cover on all night and rainy days, the pool temperature is a freezing 67 degrees. I know we have not had the best weather since it was put up, but was wondering with this set-up what temperature could i expect to reach?

This is my first post to the forum.

Gary :)

hi

with a pool without a heater the temperature of the pool can vary from day to day due to the unexpected weather we have.

your pool will be on average around the 18 - 20 degrees mark without a heater. if you had a 3kw elcro heater you could boost your pool temperature up to 26 - 27 degrees. which is quite a big difference. 26 - 27 degrees is a nice temperature to swim at on a hot summers day and on a cloudy day.

for a 3kw heater: £198 and an extra £45 to come with a 24hr time clock.

hope this helps
