HI, I am a new Doughboy 24 x 16 pool owner, and have just started adding chemicals etc. to the pool, which is finally finished! Everything I have read so far mentions 'shocking' the pool on certain occasions. What does this mean, and what sort of occasions would warrent shock tactics!
Also, I live in East Anglia which has extraordinarily hard water which leaves deposits on everything with just one drop. I don't want the liner to become stained or the pump etc to get furred up, so is there something that can be added to the water to soften it?
Any suggestions would be gratefully received! :confused:
